Finally full support for Wacom tablets!

    Thank you!
  • Does this version support Mac OS 10.13 High Sierra?
  • Hi SilverFox,

Currently full official support for High Sierra is not in this version ActivInspire however we have had hardly any reported issues from the public or our internal testing so the while it is still "at your own risk" the risk is minimal, unless an update is released that breaks it of course!

I believe that the next release of ActivInspire will include full support for High Sierra.

    Kind Regards,
    Paul

  • Thanks for the response. Given how critical ActivInspire is for my classroom, I will probably wait until it's fully supported to upgrade to High Sierra, even though the risk is low.
  • Hey do you guys know that you seem to have broken the drag and drop image insert functionality on Mac OS Sierra with the latest update?  Using the Insert menu still works, but is more cumbersome.  If I drag an image in, I get a grey box with drag handles around it (see screenshot).  If I click on the grey box, I get an error - also screenshotted.

    Hi HelenLascelles,

    Thanks for posting.

I have tested this between versions and I can confirm that if you are drag and dropping a photo from your desktop on the Mac will not copy across into the flipchart correctly.
This issue was not apparent in ActivInspire 2.10.
You can still drag and drop images from web browsers or the method that you have suggested or if you copy and paste this file this will work.

We will raise this with our development team to review.

    Kind regards,
    Adam

  • Thank you!! I have just tried the copy and paste and that does work for me so thank you!
  • Is there a possibility that version 2.11.66910 of ActivInspire could have broken and/or changed a video driver settings on an older HP Laptop running Windows 10?  My issue seems consistently related to running the update.  Windows can project prior to installing the update (and/or ActivDriver).  After install, video driver settings seem to be downgraded and basically states that projection isn't allowed.  Single vga port (no splitter) laptop to projector.  Projector no longer can find a signal from the computer--but it projected fine five minutes prior.
  • Hi mcdowelld,

Thanks for posting on the Support Community.

I can confirm that ActivInspire will not change any computer settings such as the graphics card settings that will affect your projector.

You may wish to try another computer on the projector to see if this works.

    Thanks,
    Adam

    Adam,

Thanks for the reply.  The issue is not in the hardware.

Something has manipulated the video driver.  Now, this could be a MS Windows update, or even a third-party vendor update program like Driver Booster 5.  The net result is that a computer that could project in the past can no longer project an image because the video driver no longer supports secondary monitor/projector.  I have machines breaking more each day.

This is probably out of your scope, but it will affect your users, as I have noticed similar posts to the community.
  • Thank you for that feedback, @mcdowelld.

We would still recommend testing another computer with this projector (or this computer with another projector or external display) to confirm whether or not the computer's hardware, software, or updates to any software on the computer are affecting this issue.

If this is occurring as the result of an update to any 3-party software or hardware drivers, we would recommend reaching out to their manufacturers/developers for assistance.
