Can longer import pdf to Activinpsire

I used to scan documents as pdf files from our printer/copy machine. I would then insert them into my flipcharts.

I can no longer either drag and drop a pdf nor import one using the Import command. When I d&d, it leaves a small gray square that when clicked says "Unable to open File…"

When I use Import, it deposits a page sized blank document. Finally, when I use Insert Media it creates a link to the original file which, when clicked on opens the PDF in a Preview for Mac. I have a MacBook Air, running 10.11.6 and Activinspire 2.11.66…

What am I doing wrong?

Help, please. Importing PDF's is a huge help in lesson planning.

  • Hi Bill Lane,

Thanks for posting on the Support Community.

We are currently aware of an issue with drag and drop in ActivInspire 2.11 from files on the Mac in folders or on the desktop. We have raised this with our development team.

Whilst testing the File>Import>PDF in ActivInspire 2.11, this does appear to import my PDF correctly and doesn't appear as a blank document.
Does the same issue happen with all PDF files?
If possible, are you able to attach one of the PDF files so we can test this?

    Kind regards,
    Adam
