Trying to install ActiveInspire (latest version) on MacBook Air 2018 Retina.

Installs but when I open the Promethean folder in Applications only WorkBench is there.

ActiveInspire was installed and working properly, not any longer.

      Anyone else seeing this?

      Hi Paul,

      Thanks for posting.

What version of Mac OS are you using? Can you also confirm the ActivInspire version that you have installed?

I would recommend performing a manual uninstall using the article instructions below:

      1646

Once uninstalled, please restart your MacBook and re-install ActivInspire.

      Kind regards,
      Adam

      Hi Paulvb,

      Thanks for your reply.

This is quite strange behaviour for the install to not install the ActivInspire too along with the Workbench folder.

Can you confirm that you are a local admin on the Mac when you ran the install?

      Many thanks,

      Adam

      Same problem on my side.

      Hi Laura,

Can you confirm that you have tried the steps mentioned above?

Are you also logged in with a local admin account?

      Thanks

      Hi Laura,

      Thanks for your reply.

When installing the software, are you trying to install this to the default location or a specific location?

If specific, can you confirm where this is being installed to?

      Thanks

      Adam

Hi I am having a similar problem

I have a Mac book (early 2015) pro running on OS X El Captaian . Version 10.11.6

It has not installed Active inspire and will not open it.

I have tried redownloading it 4times.

on my last attempt it said that I needed OX 10.12 but my laptop is fully up to date and won’t update any higher.

do I need to download an older version of activ learn ?

      Hi !

      I have the same problem.

I’m trying to download Activinspire on my MacBookPro using OS X El Capitan 10.11.6.

First, I’m not asked to enter the activation number I’ve been given elsewhere.

Then, when I open the downloaded file, it opens a windows that says verifying Activinspire…

I can send you some pics by email

      Thanks

      Hi Catherine,

When this happens, it means that everything will have to be deleted manually for a new, clean install.

Please can you follow the steps described in this article here, but please note it is important all the folders / files are deleted, or you will have the same issue again.

Once everything is removed, please download a new copy and install it:

      1646

Please do not hesitate to get back to us if you have any questions, we’d be happy to help.

      Thank you,

      Kind regards,

I have the same problem (OS 10.11),
I would be very grateful for an earlier version or something.

I see all these other “dinosaurs” around me using the board… mine is not even that old!

Here is the answer I got from the technical support. In french oops 😉

I tried this version with success ! Hope that’ll be ok for you too
En effet, la version 2.19 disponible sur notre site ne fonctionnera pas avec Mac OS El Capitan.

Merci d’essayer avec la version 2.14:

      Hi Catherine and Anthony,

Did you receive the reply in French via email or via the forum?

We are sorry about that. You must have good French skills considering your issue is now solved :).

Anthony: this version of ActivInspire should work with your Mac software version:

Should you need further help please let us know.
