How does one get ActivInspire to work with OS10.12.2  Sierra?

I cannot open the software without downloading legacy Java 6.  But I am very concerned about this because the page to download legacy Java 6 does not list 10.12.2 as an operating system it works with – only up to El Capitan 10.11
Same thing for the Inspire software.

I notice that the page to download the legacy Java 6 does not include OS 10.12 Sierra in the listed OS for it.

This concerns me greatly as to how this legacy Java 6 will actually work with Inspire and OS10.12 Sierra.
Inspire says it needs Java 7 – though the download also doesn’t list Sierra as a compatible OS.

Please advise how I can safely use Inspire on OS 10.12 Sierra.

What is the latest Mac OS that ActivInspire will work with?  Is it 10.10.11 (El Capitan) or is it earlier than that?  Thanks.

      Hi Barbara,

      Thanks for your reply.

ActivInspire will work with El Capitan.
We are aware of some issues with ActivInspire with the Mac OS Sierra software so our development team are working on fixing these in the future.
As a side note, if you have Java removed from your Mac, the ActivInspire installation file will include the Java installation for this to work.

      I hope this helps.

      Kind regards,
      Adam
