With the 2.21 release of ActivInspire, we’ve restored the ability for users to install ActivInspire over a network or with an external drive, resolved issues that occurred on macOS Catalina, and restored functionality to the Sound Recorder, the Screen Recorder, and YouTube videos that are embedded in Flipcharts.

We’ve also removed Flash-based content from our Main Resource Pack and Core Resource Packs as Adobe ends support for Flash, and we’ve added Ukrainian as a language option.

      Bug Fixes

      • Users can once again install ActivInspire on multiple devices over a network or with an external drive.
      • Flipcharts can now be saved when ActivInspire is running on macOS Catalina.
      • Sound Recorder now functions as expected on macOS Catalina.
      • Screen Recorder no longer drops frames or experiences sync issues while recording video and audio.
      • Activity files that were created in version 2.18 or in older versions of ActivInspire play in version 2.21.
      • Users can now copy and paste images directly from a web browser into a Flipchart.
      • YouTube videos that are embedded in Flipcharts now load properly.

      • As Adobe ends support for Flash, ActivInspire will no longer support Flash-based content.
        • Users will receive a notification when they open a Flipchart that contains Flash-based content.
        • Users who still have Adobe Flash installed will continue to experience interactive Flash content in Flipcharts. However, we’re unable to provide support for issues related to Flash in Flipcharts.
        • We’re removing Flash resources from the Promethean Main Resource Pack and the Core Resource Pack.
      • ActivInspire now supports Windows 10 2004 and macOS Big Sur.
      • ActivInspire now supports Ukrainian.
