My Promethean board is reseting it’s date and time to April 16th, 2036 every time the board gets turned on.  I have performed a factory data reset, and I am still getting the same results.  What would be the next steps to get this fixed?

The panel has been updated to the latest version, and I am still getting the same result.

      Hello Jerry,

      Thank you for your post.

Could you confirm whether an OPS-G is inserted into this ActivPanel? We have included a link to the product page for you to see an image.

      ActivConnect OPS-G

If you have an OPS-G inserted into the ActivPanel, please follow the instructions listed below in the order they appear.

      1556

      1711

After this, does the time and date remain the same after rebooting?

We look forward to assisting you further in this matter.

      Kind regards,

      Jordan

I have done all that has been suggested.  I also replaced the CMOS battery.  After reboot the panel gets the correct date and time after about 2 minutes.

      Hello Jerry,

      Thank you for your reply.

Does this happen both if you select the automatic date and time and an if you set the time and date manually? https://support.prometheanworld.com/article/1555/

Do you have the same issue if you insert this OPS-G into a different ActivPanel or if you connect it to a different network?

We look forward to hearing from you.

      Kind regards,

      Arianna

      Hi Arianna,

It happens in both automatic and manual settings.  It also is the same when inserting the OPS-G into a different ActivPanel.

The fact that this thread ended without a clear solution means there isn’t a clear answer. Several boards in my school are experiencing this issue. Attempts to reach out have thus far failed.

      Hi Shane,

      Thanks for posting.
I’ve tried to see if you have any previous or current Support cases relating to this issue, but I wasn’t able to see any.

I’d recommend contacting Promethean Support directly over the phone if this is affecting multiple units and having the serial numbers to hand.

      Thanks

      Adam

My school is having the same issue with multiple boards. Is there an solution to this without emailing me directly. Everything updated, everything works well except the clock on several boards.

        Hi Paul,

Thanks for your reply.  The solution can depend on the specific hardware in use, which means we need serial numbers etc which are not for public forums such as this.  The best thing to do would be to raise a support ticket directly from here: https://support.prometheanworld.com/s/contact-us?language=en_US

Please include serial numbers for all affected units and software versions installed.

We look forward to hearing back from you.

        Thanks

        Paul
