Anyone know how to change the default color of the border? Right now I have an orange object with a blue border and it is (1) hideous and (2) the colors of our high school’s rival. I can change the shape’s color selecting it from the tab, but I have no idea on how to change the border color without having to either selecting the shape and changing the color or by going to properties. Either way, the color change won’t “stick” to the next one I create.

Hi there,

The shape outline will always be the pen colour you have selected, whereas the colour you select for the form fill should stay the same unless you change it.

Do make sure you are on the latest version of ActivInspire 2.17 .

In previous versions, I could change the color of an object after it was created.  I can’t find where/how to do this now.  Is it still possible?

Hi Rob,

It’s still possible to change the outline and fill colours of a shape after it’s been created.

To change the outline colour:
1/ Select the shape
2/ Select the colour from the colour palette

To change the fill colour:
1/ Select the fill tool from the toolbar (looks like a tin of paint)
2/ Select the desired colour from the palette
3/ Select the desire shape
