I have activinspire professional edition which is the latest version 2.17
I installed java and enabled flash on my computer but I cant still use equation editor in activinspire.
What is going on here?

Can you please check, when you click on Help – About in the Inspire menu, what does the title of the next screen say? “Activinspire …. xx version xxx ” ?
And can you post a screenshot and/or some steps of what happens/what you see when trying to use the equation editor?

Actually it doesn’t show the cursor here but cursor would have the pi symbol and when click the bring in equation editor, it will no do anything but a sort of blinking effect,

This is not a known issue. Please try manually uninstalling ActivInspire using following guide:
Please then restart and redownload and install ActivInspire.
If the issue is still present please uninstall flash and Java and reisntall these after restarting your computer.
Please let us know how you get on.

Thanks for your reply. I did everything in the article 1644 including uninstalling java and flash and reinstalling but the problem persists.

Just an FYI, i have a surface pro and I installed the activinspire on it.
I have the same problem there too.

I have seen this on a few of my teachers computers as well. It appears to be happening on new installs not on upgrades from past versions. Interested in hearing if there is a fix.

Do you have Java installed? If so, what version is installed (please let us know version number and if a 32bit or 64bit application).

Has this issue been resolved? I can’t insert equations on my home computer but it works on my school computer.

What happens when you try to insert the equations on your home computer?
Are you presented with any error messages?
