    Hi there,

Can you please check, when you click on Help – About in the Inspire menu, what does the title of the next screen say?  “Activinspire …. xx version xxx ”  ?

And can you post a screenshot and/or some steps of what happens/what you see when trying to use the equation editor?

    Thank you,

    Wendy

    Hi,

This is not a known issue. Please try manually uninstalling ActivInspire using following guide:

    1644

Please then restart and redownload and install ActivInspire.

If the issue is still present please uninstall flash and Java and reisntall these after restarting your computer.

Please let us know how you get on.

    Adem

      Adem,

Thanks for your reply. I did everything in the article 1644 including uninstalling java and flash and reinstalling but the problem persists.

    Hi HIKMET ERDOGAN,
    Thanks for posting.

Can you confirm what version of Java is installed?

If you create a brand new local admin user and install ActivInspire, do you get the same issue?

    Kind regards,

    Adam

I have seen this on a few of my teachers computers as well.  It appears to be happening on new installs not on upgrades from past versions.  Interested in hearing if there is a fix.

    Thanks,

    Hi JamesC,

    Thanks for posting.
Do you have Java installed? If so, what version is installed (please let us know version number and if a 32bit or 64bit application).

    Thanks

    Adam

Has this issue been resolved? I can’t insert equations on my home computer but it works on my school computer.

    Hi Hillary,

What happens when you try to insert the equations on your home computer?

Are you presented with any error messages?

    Thanks

    Adam
