We have ~40 AP75’s. Everything is up-to-date on them.
An issue we’re noticing is that when trying to log into the Google Play app, you will see the Google Sign-In screen for about a split second, and then it will jump to a different page that says ‘Couldn’t sign in… There was a problem connecting to http://www.google.com’
I think it may be something to do with the web filtering service we use, Securly.
We have installed the appropriate Securly Android cert on all of these panels, and going to http://www.securly.com/ssl shows that the website recognizes the cert to be installed.
We have two SSID/wireless networks – Closed (district devices only, password protected, Securly filtering through SSL decryption, cert installed on all devices) and Open – for personal devices, I believe Securly is just doing DNS filtering on this network.
The problem is only happening on Closed. I can log into Google Play just fine on Open.
We would like it to work fine on Closed as well.
I believe we’ve already ‘allowed’ any relevant URL’s to my knowledge. – https://support.google.com/work/android/answer/10513641?hl=en
All of our teacher computers are on Closed, so ideally we would like them to be on the same network for Screen Sharing, etc.
Securly hasn’t been totally helpful so far.
I can sign into Google Services just fine through the Chromium browser. It’s just Google Play I can’t sign into. Also if you go into Settings > Google Account > there is a place to sign into Google here, this doesn’t work either.

Has google play been enabled to each panel through panel management?
To Enable Google Play follow the instructions below.
1. Sign-in to https://portal.mypromethean.com
2. Click in the top right to navigate to Panel Management.
3. Click on the panel from the list you wish to manage.
4. Under Integrations click on Google Play.
5. Once the Google Play window pops up, click on the slider to enable it. Then save.
If the panels haven’t been enrolled in Panel management, enroll them first. Please let us know if you have any further questions or need any other assistance.

Thank you for the reply. I had to wait about an hour to respond because it wouldn’t let me (kept saying I’m doing things too fast…?)
We do have Google Play enabled through Panel Management.
We also have all of our panels enrolled in Panel Management already as well.
The strange thing is that on the Wireless network that does SSL decrypting through Securly that we’re having problems with – I can’t sign into Google Play or in Android settings there is a Google accounts section where you can login there – neither of those I can log into.
But when I click on the cloud integration (or if you click on the current signed-in user > Cloud symbol) – and select Google Drive – I’m brought to a Google login screen that works fine and I can sign into Google Drive just fine…. but not Google Play. They seem to authenticate differently.
I’m at a loss, our filtering provider doesn’t seem to want to help very much. Not all teachers will probably use Google Play to download apps, but it would be nice to allow them to, and switching to our guest network just to so they can sign into Google Play is really clunky and requires me to physically be there and show them.
