Thanks for posting. The issue you are describing sounds like a connection problem between you ActivBoard and your computer.
As we do not know what model of ActivBoard you have then there is only a few suggestions we can give here but if these do not help then if you can give us the model number of your ActivBoard then we can give you more tailored advice.
Firstly we would suggest trying a new USB cable, preferably one that is less than 3m in length. Also be sure to bypass any wallboxes or USB extenders.
We would also suggest making sure you are using the latest version of the ActivDriver, to download the latest version please go to http://www.PrometheanKB.com and search for article 10902.
We would also suggest trying a different computer that is know to work with another working ActivBoard.
