ParticipantI am on page 1 of a flipchart. Say I want to give an option go directly to page 6 (or mark page 6 with a label). Is there a way I can create an action to skip directly to that label (or to page 6)? And if there is no label option, will ActivInspire be smart enough to know that page 6 becomes page 7 if I ever add another page before page 6?

InactiveYes ActivInspire is smart enough to re-number the pages as needed when more pages are added.
As far as going directly to the page there is no click or option to jump ahead other than clicking on the page in the Page Browser to select the page.Frances

InactiveThanks Frances,
Not a huge need to link to a specific page number. I appreciate the link feature which brings up other flipcharts or applications outside of ActivInspire. Saves me from opening too many flipcharts during my orientation week at school for the students – a Godsend! Also like the link to websites feature.
Linking to a labeled section of a flipchart would bring this to full fruition but the others are far more valuable – don’t see this suggested option being used too much.Steve

InactiveAn update to this issue is for you to try using the action browser in ActivInspire to jump from page t page also.
Please let us now if this helps your dilemma.

InactiveHi Frances,
Actually, I tried that, but there just doesn’t seem to be a method to address a specific place within a flipchart. As best I can tell, the link will open a file at its starting point, but I didn’t see anything that allows it to jump to a specific page number within the opened flipchart. Have you seen anyone do this before?
Thanks, Steve

InactiveYes, you can use the Action browser to jump to another page. Add an object (such as an arrow shape, or any other object) to the page you are starting from. Right click on the object and open the Action browser. (first, make sure you know the page number of the page you want to jump TO) In the browser, either under All Actions or Page Actions, click on the Another Page command. Then at the bottom of the menu, choose the page you want to jump to. Click “Apply Changes” and you are done.
