We a have a Promethean board where the teacher’s pen stopped being recognized this week. We’ve tried unhooking all the cables and unplugging the power and restarting the PC and nothing has worked. We borrowed another pen from a teacher across the hall and it worked just fine. What could be causing our pen to not be recognized?
As another ActivPen appears to be working on the ActivBoard it would appear that this particular pen may have gone faulty.
You can try to re-seat the pen nib to the ActivPen and see if this helps.
ActivPens come with a 12 month warranty, if your ActivBoard is still within this time frame please contact Promethean Technical Support directly for further assistance. If outside of the 12 months we would recommend purchasing a replacement ActivPen from a Promethean Reseller/Vendor. Alternatively this can be purchased from the Need It Now store:
