The desktop ActivInspire product needs to support the notion of cloud computing. We don’t want our computers using Office365 to sync their OneDrive to the computer, we want them fluid. Teachers move around the buildings. ActivInspire doesn’t know how to default to saving to OneDrive in the cloud, and this causes a lot of extra steps to periodically copy files from the download folder to the cloud-based OneDrive. We encourage no syncing of OneDrive due to issues and mobility.

A product patch would be great too to be able to redirect to “recent file locations” in the system.

      Hi there,

Are you experiencing issues with ActivInspire and OneDrive?
You should be able to open flip chart files by selecting the one drive location (providing this is synced to your computer).
Any screenshots for the steps you have to take would be much appreciated.

The point of the suggestion is NOT to sync.  We do not want to sync OneDrive for Business on presentation workstations, too many people use them and the hard drives fills up.  We want the teachers that share computers, or students, to log onto the workstation, access O365, and be able to save directly to OneDrive for Business.   We want to use ActivInspire like we use Word and Excel on a non-synced computer.  Those programs just know that the system can to save to OneDrive for Business.    If ActivInspire looked to see that code in the registry then our 3000 teachers could be much happier.  Right now they have to save to the download folder, then once a week upload to OneDrive for Business in the cloud, and that is getting old.

This pictured computer is not synced, but still knows about the OneDrive for Business that has been accessed in the past.  Our teachers are asking for another option.   OneDrive files overwhelm the workstation when synced, we don’t need every user’spersonal files downloaded, and we want to work in the cloud, no syncing.  Thanks for your thinking on this in the future.

      Hi there,

      Thank you for this information.

I will pass this information to the software development team and raise as an enhancement for ActivInspire.

      Kindest regards,
