Hi , weve just got new white boards and wondering if we can use the older ones (AB378) as a tv monitor or just buy a projector for it for the after schools club

      any advice appreciated

      Hi Colin,

      Thanks for your post.

The 378 Board will need a projector in order for anything to be displayed as it does not generate an image itself.

If your intention if for it to solely be used as a surface on which to project something, and not make use of the interactive capabilities, this is by all means possible.

In which case, the projector you choose could be whatever you feel best. However, we would not be able to advise on the installation of the projector if it is not a Promethean product.

      Thanks

      James

      Hello Colin,

      Thank you for your reply.

Once you connect the ActivBoard to a computer, you can display programs and activities and allow the students to interact with them, using pens compatible with this model of board, such as the ActivPen 4.

If you install the ActivInspire software on your computer, you can create flipcharts of various kinds and display them on the board to engage the students in different activities.

To install ActivInspire, please visit this page on our Support Portal: https://support.prometheanworld.com/product/-activinspire-/

Alternatively, you can use ClassFlow, which is a web-based software. You can download it from this page: https://support.prometheanworld.com/product/-classflow-/.

For more information, please visit our Support Portal, where you can find articles and videos on our products: https://support.prometheanworld.com/.

Should you have any more queries, please do not hesitate to get back in touch.

      Kind regards,

      Arianna
