The nickel spec sheet states that there is a lan in and out on the panels. Has anyone played around with this and got it working?

I’m wondering if it’s possibly to send a network connection from the panel to the computer.

      Hi Sam,

Thanks for your post. The Lan port is to connect your Panel to a network via ethernet. You should be able to use a network cable to do so.

      We hope this information helps.

      Thanks,

      Kate

        Hi Kate,

Thanks for the reply. Although I was asking if the panel has a Lan out port. So I can pass a connection from the panel to a computer.

      Hello Sam,

Yes the Promethean Nickel has two Lan ports.

And as mentioned in the Specifications document, one is a LAN In and the other a LAN Out port.

      https://inspire.activsoftware.co.uk/support/ActivPanel_2019-E_Nickel_SS_0521v1.5a_EN-INTL.pdf

In order to achieve that configuration, you will need to have the Panel connected to LAN In first( so that you have internet connection) than LAN out to the computer.

      Hope this helps.

      Thank You,
