      Enhancements

      • We’ve added the ability to disable and enable user profiles. To disable user profiles, open the Settings app from the Locker, select Users, and toggle the Enable Users setting off. (Nickel, Cobalt, Titanium)
      • We’ve made it possible to prevent users at the ActivPanel from accessing the following apps: Settings, Panel Management, and Update. Customers who would like to know more about this feature should contact Promethean support. (Nickel, Cobalt, Titanium)
      • We’ve added the ability to open a connected cloud drive location in the Files app via the Promethean Cloud Connect app. Connect a Google Drive or OneDrive account, select the connected drive, and the Files app will open to the cloud drive location. (Nickel, Cobalt, Titanium)
      • We’ve added the Promethean Cloud Connect app icon to the Locker for easier access. (Nickel, Cobalt, Titanium)
      • We’ve added a back button to the workflow for connecting a cloud drive account in the Promethean Cloud Connect app. After selecting ADD ACCOUNT, the user can use the back button to return to the window where the connected cloud drives are displayed. (Nickel, Cobalt, Titanium)
      • The remote can now be used to turn off the ActivPanel when an OPS is powered on. Hold the power button on the remote, and the ActivPanel will show the options CANCEL or POWER OFF. Select POWER OFF to turn off the OPS and the ActivPanel. (Nickel, Cobalt, Titanium)
      • When the Owner has disabled the Unified Menu in Settings and the Locker is open, pressing the physical flame button will now close the Locker. (Nickel, Cobalt, Titanium)
      • We’ve added new default wallpapers to the ActivPanel that will display automatically if the Owner has not chosen a custom wallpaper. Older wallpapers are still available in Settings. (Nickel, Cobalt, Titanium)
      • We’ve updated the ActivPanel display loading screens with new branding. Now, the loading screens display Promethean and ActivPanel logos. (Nickel, Cobalt, Titanium)
      • We’ve simplified the design of the Promethean Cloud Connect app. We removed the half-screen, shrink window, maximize window, and minimize buttons, so the app now has only the drag bar and the close button. (Nickel, Cobalt, Titanium)
      • We’ve made the Panel Name and ID window visible while full screen casting in Screen Share. This window provides students with the Panel ID and AirPlay name they need to connect a device without having to return to the Waiting Room on the ActivPanel. (Nickel, Cobalt, Titanium)
      • When two to four devices are selected for sharing from the Screen Share Waiting Room, we’ve made it possible to switch from the device that is currently sharing to one of the other devices without returning to the Waiting Room. Tap the Back arrow to the left of the floating Waiting Room button to show a multi-screen view of the devices originally selected for sharing, and then tap on the device you want to share next. (Nickel, Cobalt, Titanium)
      • We’ve made it possible for Screen Share sender devices to discover and connect to a Screen Share session over a local network where an internet connection is not available. Even when an internet connection is available, Screen Share will attempt to use the local network for faster discovery in the event that the internet connection is not robust. (Nickel, Cobalt, Titanium)

      Bug Fixes

      • We’ve removed Mobile Network from the Network Settings, because this feature was not available in the product. (Titanium)
      • We fixed an issue that allowed only one RS232 code to work over the OPS COM port. We now support all RS232 codes working over an external D89 COM port, and our OPS COM port now allows for all RS232 codes to function properly. (Titanium)
      • We fixed an issue that was causing RS232 codes not to function properly. (Nickel, Cobalt)
      • We fixed an issue that prevented the Promethean Cloud Connect app from being closed in some cases. (Nickel, Cobalt)
      • We fixed an issue that caused the Unified Menu to briefly display after it had been disabled in Settings. Now, when the Unified Menu is disabled, it will not display when the ActivPanel has finished booting up or when the user profile has been switched. (Nickel, Cobalt, Titanium)
      • We fixed an issue that prevented the Camera app from being resized. Now, when the Camera app is full screen, it can be resized using the buttons at the bottom of the window. (Nickel, Cobalt)
      • We fixed an issue that prevented users from copying files with spaces in the filename to OneDrive. (Nickel, Cobalt, Titanium)
      • We fixed an issue that caused the Settings app to appear under Recent Apps for a Guest user after Settings had been opened by the Owner. (Nickel, Cobalt)
      • We fixed an issue that prevented some apps from being discovered in the Google Play Store and installed on the ActivPanel. (Nickel, Cobalt, Titanium)
      • We fixed an issue that prevented Last Source from functioning as the Default Power On Source when the Home Source was disabled. Now, when the Home Source is disabled, the Last Source is always the Default Power On Source. (Nickel, Cobalt, Titanium)
      • We fixed an issue that caused the user selection screen to appear after standby instead of the default source when no additional users were added and no PIN was set for the Owner. Now, when the Owner presses the ActivPanel’s power button to come out of standby, the default source will appear. (Nickel, Cobalt, Titanium)
      • We fixed an issue that caused a memory leak with the Promethean Cloud Connect app. This fix has resolved performance issues with the app. (Nickel, Cobalt, Titanium)
      • We fixed an issue that caused an immediate switch to the Home Source when an external source signal was lost. Now, if the source cable is loose or unplugged, the ActivPanel will not switch to the Home Source. (Nickel, Cobalt, Titanium)
      • We fixed an issue that caused no signal to be displayed on the screen when using RS232 commands to switch sources. (Titanium)
      • We fixed an issue that caused the brightness slider to automatically go to max after the contrast slider was adjusted by the user. Now, when a user adjusts the contrast slider, the brightness slider stays the same. (Titanium)
      • We fixed a Danish translation issue in the Whiteboard app menu. We corrected “skjermbilde” with “skærmbillede.” (Nickel, Cobalt, Titanium)
      • We fixed an issue that prevented an adjusted contrast setting from persisting after the user switched sources. Now, when the user opens Settings and adjusts the contrast slider, the new contrast setting will persist when the source is switched. (Nickel, Cobalt)
      • We fixed an issue that caused multiple Google Play icons to appear in the Locker when Google Play was active on the ActivPanel and there was another connected device, such as a Chromebox or OPS. Now, only the Google Play icon from the connected device appears. (Nickel, Cobalt, Titanium)
      • We fixed an issue that prevented a USB device from being recognized if it remained connected during a user switch. (Titanium)
      • We’ve addressed issues in both the Screen Share receiver and sender apps to improve audio quality when sharing. (Nickel, Cobalt, Titanium)
