ParticipantHow’s the development for Ubuntu 14.04 support coming along? It would really be beneficial for me to begin testing boards prior to upgrading them from 12.04. We were told 14.04 would be supported before the year was over, and we’re getting close to the end.
Thanks.

InactiveHi Mike,
Good question !
I take it you are asking for both the ActivDriver and ActivInspire software updates for this?
I would love to be able to share something more concrete but other than the fact that this is on the roadmap, we do not have any specific ETA’s around this.
I will check internally to see if there is any additional information but our current status is that we do not support it, which means we have not yet conducted a full test with boards and software in combination with this OS.
Have you tested it at all to see if it works?I have created a reference for you as well, please quote this if you are ringing up regarding this: 00459768

InactiveCurious as to why the workaround that was posted on the previous forum was removed. I was able to use the method outlined to get ActivInspire working on Ubuntu 14.04 32 bit. Was going to attempt 64 bit but the thread was taken down. Any reason for this? Thanks

InactiveThanks Wendy. Your suggestion did not work for me. However I was able to Install the Windows personal version under WINE. It seems to support most features except embedded video replay. This should get me through until the official Ubuntu release.

InactiveA Docker image would fix 99% of these problems.
