It is natural for the red light to blink. The red light blinks when information is being sent from the ActiVote to the ActivHub. When the information is received, then the green light will blink. The red light will also blink if the user has entered an incorrect PIN during registration. If the red light blinks all the time, there could be an issue with either the ActivHub, the ActiVote itself, or the ActivDriver may not be up to date. First, determine how many devices are affected. If just one or a few, those devices may be defective and you may test them with a different ActivHub. However, if all of the devices are affected, ensure that the ActivDriver is up to date (see article 10902 on the Knowledge Base) as well as the ActivHub firmware (see article 10421 on the Knowledge Base). If the red light is still blinking, try registering the devices to a different ActivHub.
