      Hello,

      I downloaded zoom on the promethean, I opened it and tried to start a meeting.  A message opens up that says camera won’t start make sure other apps are not using camera”.  I exit out of it and tried opening the camera app and an error message pops up saying “camera failed to open”
      please help 😭

      Hi Ivonne,

      We are aware of this and I will add your case to the enhancement request.  We do have a workaround that works in most cases.  If you close the app and disconnect the camera, then open the app and then connect the camera it will work in most cases.

        Has there been a resolution to this issue? I am starting to see it happen in one of my buildings where we house many active panels.

        Hi Dalton,

        We still have no current ETA on when this issue will be fixed.

        Have you tried using the following workaround:

        • Launch Zoom
        • Allow Microphone and Camera
        • Click on the Video icon (with the red X)
        • When you receive the “Failed to start the video camera” error; unplug the webcam
        • Close Zoom
        • Launch Zoom again
        • Start Meeting
        • Plug webcam in
        • Click on the Video icon

      Good Morning Paul!

      I tried your method of getting the camera to work and it did’t work. Instead I got this error message…

      Any suggestions?

        I’m having the same issue above, although the camera app itself does launch the camera and it works fine. When attempting to use it for Zoom I get the camera conflict message, I tried the suggestion and get the same error.

      Thank you for your post!

      In order to fix the permission issue, can you please uninstall the  Zoom app from your ActivPanel / OPS module and re-install it again.

      Once the installation is complete, please make sure to grant the Zoom app permission to use the camera.
