Yes, the whole panel resets. The user says that the panel will be on (maybe on a Slide–she won’t even be touching the panel), and suddenly it will reset completely. The entire panel will shut down and go through the start process (the Promethean logo will come up, etc.). Also, she says for the last week, her annotation is spotty. Sometimes she can write without issue, but sometimes the pen (or her finger) will suddenly not be recognized (create spotty writing).
I have already cleared cache and appdata for Slides. The issue still happens.

It is an integrated OPS-G. The apps that usually cause the restart are Slides or Chromium (that’s what she uses the most). I cleared cache and cookies for those apps, but it still restarted itself yesterday. I don’t know the LED sequence when it restarts itself; the user did not see the lights when it happened.

I am the Organisation Admin. I just can’t locate where I can unenroll the panel from. Where can I find that option?

It is an OPS-G. Software version 188.8.131.52.
When I follow your steps (the pictures I posted previously), the Chrome bookmark I create (in Chrome) is not there. In Chrome, it is referred to as a Mobile Bookmark. On the board, it says Local Bookmark. How does one create a Local Bookmark? Or how does one create a shortcut with a Mobile Bookmark?
Please try this on your end:
- Create a bookmark in the Chrome app.
- Follow the steps to create a shortcut. You will notice that the bookmark you created does not appear as an option.

I want to create a web shortcut using Chrome to a specific site (like a shortcut on your Desktop). I do the following:
- Click on Shortcut
2. Click on Bookmark
3. These are my options. I don’t have Chrome or the site I bookmarked in the Chrome app as an option. What can I do?

The screen freezes on the following image.
The only way to fix it is to do a power reset. The firmware is 4809.

I just tested the board with the freely available videos on BrainPop, and the same issue occurs. It will play perfectly fine, but when I click on fullscreen, it stops after 2 seconds and buffers. The HDMI resolution is set to Auto. There is no difference in issue between the homescreen and paid content videos.

Did you download the chrome app via the Promethean store or the Google Play store? The Play Store
Does this happen to the videos just on the brainpop website, or videos from sites such as youtube? Only Brainpop and FOSSweb; YouTube is fine.
If it is just on brainpop, do you get it with the videos on their home page? (theres a few example videos) Or is it only on content that is shown once logged in with an account? When logged in; not videos on the home screen
Do you get the same issue when using the Chromium browser? No, the board doesn’t have Chromium. I tried Opera; same result.
If in full screen, the video stops after 2 seconds and just buffers. Tried uninstalling/reinstalling Chrome. No change.

I have this video playback issue with a teacher’s Nickel panel. The board is completely updated, and I cleared the cache in Chrome and in the CleanUp. The videos on BrainPop will play fine until you make them full screen. Then, the video stops and buffers. The panel’s wifi signial is excellent. Advice?

My teacher has the same issue. Both old and new Flipcharts cause ActivInspire to crash without warning. His laptop is running Win10 20H2. Please advise.

I also have this crashing issue on multiple staff laptops. It usually occurs when they have three or Flipcharts open simultaneously. I have already attempted the complete manual uninstall followed by a local admin reinstall. The issue still persists. What can I try next?

Sorry, that didn’t work. The user still has to manually turn on the OPS every day. Other options?
