My flipcharts are almost exclusively in landscape format since that’s what my Promethean board is.  If I export a flipchart as PDF, it places the landscape flipchart image onto a PDF page that’s set to portrait. Is there a way for the PDF to be generated in the landscape format that the original flipchart slide is in?  This needs to happen within ActivInspire, otherwise if I try to change format in a PDF application, it just flips everything and then puts the paper as landscape, but the flipchart image is still not in the matching format. I’ll try to attach an image to show what I mean.  If this is possible within ActivInspire, I haven’t found it as there are no options given when choosing export as PDF.Flipchart page exported as PDF - portrait

      Hello Dan,

      Thank you for your post.

To set the flipchart to Landscape orientation, please do the following:

      – Open the flipchart in ActivInspire
      – In the upper left select File then select Print
      – In the upper left of the pop up box under Printer select Page Settings
      – In the lower left corner select Landscape then click OK
      – In the lower right of the pop up box select Export to PDF
      – Save the file to your Desktop or other folder

The flipchart should now be saved with landscape as the orientation.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

      Kind Regards,
      Karen

Karen. If you’ll look at the images that I put in my original post, it doesn’t quite do what you would expect.

      Hello,

Thank you for noting the images.

Upon further investigation, there is an open enhancement request regarding this exact issue.  We will add this request to it for potential inclusion in a future release of the ActivInspire software.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

      Kind Regards,

      Karen

Any news on this issue being added to a release? I have the same issue on Linux- compounded by the inability to open a print dialogue at all on the 18.04 LTS release means I have to use a ludicrously convoluted method to get my flipcharts in landscape .pdf format.

      Hello Craig,

      Thank you for your post.

We will add your request to the enhancement, as there has not been an update as to when this feature might be added to a future release.

We appreciate your patience.  Please let us know if you have any further questions – we are happy to assist.

      Kind Regards,

      Karen
