We’re seeing intermittent connectivity between 10.11.3 and some of the older ActivBoards. A user will see the board connected and be able to calibrate the pen and use it as intended, but after a random amount of time (10min to 8hrs) it’ll stop working and the computer will no longer register the board as connected. Unlugging/replugging nor system restart are reliable to get it back up and running.

It is only happening on 10.11 (the 10.10 computers are all fine) across different models of iMacs.

      Hi and thanks for posting!

Can you please confirm the version of ActivDriver that you have installed on these computers?

We look forward to your reply.

      Kind Regards,

      Hi Paul,

We have seen this issue across both 5.12 and 5.14 drivers, as well as Inspire 2.4 and 2.8.

      Hi,

Thanks for the version numbers, is there anything specific that is done on the computer when the ActivBoard loses connection?

Could you check to see if the users on the 10.11 Macs have the below permissions, you will need to search for this by clicking on Go, Go to Folder:

      /Applications/Promethean
      System – R & W
      Admin – R & W
      Everyone – Read only

      /usr/local/share/promethean
      System – R & W
      Everyone – Read only

      /Library/LaunchAgents
      System – R & W
      Everyone – Read only

      /usr/local/lib
      System – Read & Write

      Everyone – Read only

      I hope this helps.
