InactiveHi,
Thank you for your post.
Please confirm the model of the ActivBoard.
Also please confirm the version of the Activdriver and firmware.Does the connection work fine if you use a Windows laptop/computer?
Thank you

InactiveHi,
the tested Activboard is an Pro ActivBoard 87″ (Product Code ABV387PRO).
The same Board works fine with an older Version of ubuntu 14.04 (with the 3.19.0-51 Kernel) with the same installation script. We do not have any Windows computer for any of our 30 boards. They all work with ubuntu 12.04 except one. Because end of life of 12.04 is next year we need to migrate. The Activdriver is 5.11.7-1~Ubuntu~1404 (see log data in the first post).
I cannot access system control of the board, because the usb connection failed (see the fist post)
Thank you

InactiveHi Martin,
When the ActivBoard is connected to the working machines, what is the firmware version showing for the ActivBoard within ActivManager as it could be that a firmware update may resolve the issue.
We look forward to your reply.
Kind Regards,

InactiveHi,
it seemed to be the same problem as in
https://support.prometheanworld.com/article/?kb=Connection-Issues-with-USB-3-0-and-or-Intel-8-Series…
It works with a boosted USB 3.0 hub.I also tried to update the firmware (V8.04 Buil 4), but the update button is disabled.
Kind regards

InactiveHi Martin,
I will send you a link to download the latest firmware file for your ActivBoard via email.
The upgrade button being greyed out is because you need to run the command in ActivAid first to allow access to the firmware update.
Please let us know if this is successful.
Kind Regards,
PaulPromethean Technical Support
